Privacy policy

Roof Insulation VIC ("we", "us") installs ceiling insulation in Victoria. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Details you give us: your name, phone number, email, the postcode of the home, and your answers about the property (for example the type of home, what's in the ceiling, and whether you own it). We collect these through the home check on this website, forms on Facebook and Instagram, email, or when you speak to us.
- How you found us: the page you arrived on, the website or ad that sent you (such as campaign tags in the link) and the type of device you used.
- Website usage: if analytics or advertising tools are active on this site (Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel), they use cookies to record things like pages viewed and buttons clicked.
How we use it
- To contact you about your home, which you've asked us to do, by phone, SMS or email.
- To check whether your home may be eligible for the Victorian Energy Upgrades ceiling insulation discount, book a roof check, prepare a quote and do the installation.
- To complete the paperwork the program requires.
- To understand which of our ads and pages are useful, so we can improve them.
We only call or message you because you asked us to. We don't cold call or door-knock.
Who we share it with
- The accredited Victorian Energy Upgrades provider that applies the discount, and the licensed electrician who does the safety check, only as needed to provide the service.
- The Essential Services Commission or other regulators, where the program or the law requires it.
- Service providers who run our customer records, email, SMS, website and analytics, under their own privacy obligations.
- Meta and Google, when advertising and analytics tools are active. If you submit a form, a scrambled (hashed) version of your contact details may be shared with Meta to measure our ads.
We don't sell your personal information.
Storage and security
Your information is stored in secure, access-controlled systems. Some of our service providers may store data outside Australia. We keep information only as long as we need it to provide the service and to meet legal and program record-keeping requirements.
Cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The website still works without them, although we won't be able to tell which ad brought you here.
Your choices
You can ask to see or correct your information, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop contacting you, at any time, by emailing roofinsulationvic@gmail.com. You can also reply STOP to any SMS from us.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, email us first and we'll respond. If you're still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
